Building Relationship Versatility:Social Styles at Work

Purpose:
Building Relationship Versatility is designed to help both managers and individual contributors recognize different social styles ultimately allow them to communicate more effectively. Leveraging Social Style differences can lead to more effective collaboration, productive relationships, and greater productivity and business results.

Process:
Participants are profiled using the Social Styles Profile. After being profiled, participants are assigned one of four Social Styles, Analytical, Driver, Amiable, or Expressive. During the workshop, participants learn how to identify others’ Social Styles and based on understanding of their own and others style, learn to modify their own behaviors to communicate more easily and effectively with others.

Payoff:
After completing this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognized the importance of Versatility in personal and business success
  2. Learn an approach for increasing effectiveness with others at work
  3. Be able to accurately determine others’ Social Styles and be able to approach them in the most appropriate manner
  4. Describe the expectations and preferences for each style
  5. Identify how these apply on the job
  6. Find out how versatility is interepreted by others
  7. Be able to communicate persuasively with each Social Style
  8. Gain skills to effectively manage conflict
  9. Understand how and when to use various techniques to address Fight and Flight behaviors
  10. Be able to adapt behavior to match others’ behavior
  11. Improve versatility to build better relationships and influence others
