WHAT IS A COMMODITY?
When your customers tell you that they will not buy your products or services because they can get the same thing from one of your competitors, and at a lower price, you have a commodity. Commodities require you to lower your price, and over time, they force you to drastically reduce your costs. Commodities may even force you out of business. So how can you break the commodity code and keep your customers happy? The simple answer is to create extra value. While this is a simple answer, it is not so easy to achieve. Creating value-added products and services means that your team will have to constantly challenge the way you do business. You will also need to be diligent in continually expanding your understanding of changing customer needs and your knowledge of your competitors' strategy and tactics.
Objectives of Module Seven:
